Cleo is a leader in the global shift in how family benefits are structured and provided by great companies. Its platform has helped over 125 employers attract, retain, and drive better health outcomes for working parents in over 55 countries. Cleo needed a multi-purpose video to use as a key marketing and brand asset across their website, sales pitches, events, and more. The video also served as a way to refine and crystalize how Cleo communicates the why, what, and how of its platform.
The intention of the art direction of the animation was to bring a layer of physicality to the brand by using texture and imagery of printed and cut paper. This spoke to the human touch of the brand and helped the video feel differentiated from the tech industry. I brought this same level of thought into the sound design and recorded custom sound effects by cutting, crumpling, and turning paper.
