AFFOA Videos

AFFOA or Advanced Functional Fabrics of America was looking to change the way people think about the things they wear. With recent breakthroughs in fiber materials and manufacturing processes, AFFOA and IDEO looked to me for help in telling the story of two distinct concepts they were developing. While the AFFOA and IDEO teams focused on building a functional app for one of the products, I was tasked to help produce, direct, film, edit, and animate a video for each concept in the span of only two weeks.
One of the biggest challenges of this project was how to demo emerging technology (which can often feel obscure and overly lofty) without losing the human element surrounding it. With a tight timeline ahead of me, I chose a clean backdrop to film the videos and balanced simple representations of the technology with potential real world scenarios of how people would use it.
